Receitas do Chef is a Portuguese recipe site for home cooks. Its recipes are written by Leonor Perreira, a home cook who wants to make Portuguese food easy for anyone to cook, with every recipe explained step by step.

The site has more than 180 recipes and guides, mostly traditional Portuguese cooking from the north, the south and the islands. The main site is in Portuguese. This English section adapts a selection of those recipes for people who live in Portugal and cook in English.

The English recipes keep the same quantities, times and temperatures as the Portuguese ones. What’s added is the help around them: the Portuguese name of each ingredient as it appears in shops, and a note on what to buy.
